By William Shakespeare; Adapted By John Hardy
Six or more actors play 18 roles. One hour and twenty five minutes of stage time in one act, or, one hour and forty minutes with intermission.
This adaptation is loyal to the original. Even though the adaptation has been made doable by six actors and the running time has been trimmed to ninety minutes, the adaptation seeks to retain the essence of Shakespeare's original in every scene.
Recommended, but optional, PROLOGUE included. This prologue is made up of Shakespeare snippets and lines from a variety of plays. The prologue sets up the performance as a play being performed by a teacher and students.
All of the famous scenes and lines have been retained.
